Somebody is going that way anyway. Thuma matches your parcel to a driver already near the pickup, quotes the fare before you book it, and shows you the vehicle moving on a map until it arrives. Thuma is the Shona and Ndebele verb for to send, which is the whole product.
What it costs, before you book
The fare is quoted at the point you choose the journey, not estimated afterwards. Distance, the vehicle class you pick, and anything you add — a helper, a declared value — are shown as separate lines, and the total you see is the total you agree to. If you would rather offer your own fare, you can: drivers see the offer and decide.
Directions that find the gate
Most addresses here are not on a map, and a driver circling a suburb costs both of you the afternoon. Thuma takes a landmark as well as a pin — the shop on the corner, the school, the tuckshop — and gives the driver turn-by-turn navigation to it, so "past the borehole, blue gate" is information the app can actually use.
Proof it arrived, and who took it
Every delivery ends in a handshake: a code the recipient reads out, or a photo taken at the door, recorded against the order with the place and the time. That is what a dispute is settled from, and it is on your receipt whether or not anything goes wrong.
